A HDTV projection TV - Front or Rear?
If you want a HDTV projection TV, you should read a buyers guide explaining DLP projection. HDTV refers to high definition television and for many people the best way to view the widescreen is with a big screen TV. High definition broadcasts result in substantially higher resolution than the traditional television broadcasts. The standard for DLP TV is digital so that you have a clear, sharp picture on the screen.
You may not realize it but programs in high definition are free over the airwaves. You don't need to be a subscriber to a cable or satellite company to enjoy movies and programs in widescreen. In order to get them free, you do need an antenna. However, cable and satellite providers do have high definition packages that you can order. Just about all sports programs are also broadcast in high definition giving you the feeling that you are actually there instead of at home.
There are actually two types of HDTV Projection Television - Integrated HDTV and HD ready TV. When you have integrated high definition, the antenna and tuner are built right into the set. With a television that is HD ready, you will have to buy an antenna or tuner in order to get the HD programs.
Another choice you will have to make is whether you want a TV with 720p or 1080p. The 1080p allows for bigger screens, so depending on what size you want, you may not really have much of a choice.
You can also choose between LCD and plasma depending on the sharpness of the picture. LCD offers a better picture because of the Liquid crystal display, but it is also more expensive. This is because the manufacturing process is much more complicated than that required for plasma.
